Maniver is from New York and earned her medical degree in India. Her focus is medical education, and she has also helped manage the USMLE-Rx Step 2 CK QMax and Step 2 Flash Facts projects. She is a vegetarian who loves authentic NY pizza and trying new restaurants. In her spare time, Maniver enjoys reading, going to museums, gardening, and spending time with family, friends, and her rambunctious pitbull.

Lauren earned her medical degree and a Masters in Public Health from Temple University School of Medicine. She has enjoyed working on USMLE-Rx projects for many years and is enthusiastic about improving medical education.

Marina was born in Cairo, Egypt and has lived all over the world. She graduated from the Penn State College of Medicine in 2016 and is currently testing her Program Director's patience as a first-year emergency medicine resident at the Vidant Medical Center. In her free time, Marina enjoys baking and eating, running (very slowly and only so she can eat more food), being overly competitive at board and card games, and hoping that if she procrastinates long enough on wedding planning, her fiancé will just do it himself.

Lauren graduated from Columbia University with bachelors degrees in neuroscience and behavior in 2006, and from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2010. She completed her internal medicine residency through Brown University in 2013, and is currently a primary care physician in Providence.

Jun earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2015. His areas of interest are internal medicine, cardiology, and endocrinolgy.

Ali was born in Bahrain and earned his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland–Bahrain in 2015. He is completing his intern year at Salmaniya Medical Complex and will apply for a neurology residency in 2017. Ali's hobbies include reading, watching films, going on meditative walks, and enjoying food with family and friends.

Nitina was born and raised in Long Island, NY. She graduated from St. George's University School of Medicine in 2015 and is currently earning her Master's Degree in Business Administration. Once that's completed, she plans to pursue a career in child and adolescent psychiatry. Nitina enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Marvin graduated from the University of Medicine, Tirana in 2013. He is pursuing a masters degree in health sciences at The Health & Life Sciences University, Austria, where he is also working as a research assistant. His research interests include personalized medicine and breast cancer. Among Marvin's hobbies are reading and traveling.

Melanie is from California and earned a combined bachelors and masters degree in biochemistry and cell biology. She earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Nicole is a recent graduate of Weill Cornell Medical College who decided to head West after graduation and spend a year doing research in Colorado while exploring all of that magical state's wild wonders. She is excited to be working with USMLE-Rx to make test-taking as pleasant and successful as possible, and looking forward to starting anesthesiology residency next year.

Varun completed his medical education at the AJ Institute of Medical Sciences/Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India. He acquired substantial clinical and basic science experience while working in pathology, internal medicine, emergency/trauma, and critical care. In addition to reading medical literature, Varun enjoys cycling, listening to classical music, and playing badminton with his wife, Steffi.

Mari was born in San Diego, raised in North Carolina, completed her undergraduate education as a Banana Slug at UC Santa Cruz, and spent a few years teaching high school in Oakland, Calif. She then decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a doctor and was thankfully accepted into the “pioneering class” of the combined MD/MPH program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Ali was born in Iran and migrated to New York City about 15 years ago. He graduated from Cornell University Undergrad in 2009 as a business/biology major and opened a consulting firm in Dubai. He finally decided to go to medical school and attended American University of Antigua School of Medicine. He is currently a first-year general surgery resident at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown Ohio. A book nerd, Ali is always studying and trying to impress his PD with board scores (key word: trying). He likes to play tennis and soccer even though he is not very good.

Originally from Detroit, Ujjala earned her medical degree in 2006 from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed an internal medicine residency in 2011 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich. Ujjala is currently teaching in the internal medicine residency program at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit while she completes a masters of public health degree at George Washington University. In addition to her busy work life, she enjoys her full-time job as a mother of three kids and loves running, swimming, and engaging in adventurous sports with her family.

Joshua earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine and trained in internal medicine at Brigham & Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He is passionate about program evaluation and education related to health policy and delivery redesign. Joshua currently practices at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Nisha is a postdoctoral research association at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson.

Nicole is a first-year pediatrics resident at Tufts Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate degree in human biology at Brown University, and stayed on to earn her medical degree from the Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2016.

Cristen earned her medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine and is currently training in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at Stanford.

Sheel graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Florida campus with the dual degree of Doctor of Osteopathy and Masters of Health Service Administration in June 2016. He recently started a general surgery residency at Wayne State University in Detroit. Sheel hopes to subspecialize after completing residency. His research interests are pediatrics and trauma. Sheel's hobbes include art and painting, bike riding, and traveling.

Travis is from Delaware and is currently a student at Virginia School of Medicine. He has worked on USMLE-Rx Steps 1, 2 CK, and 3 Qmaxes and is part of the revision team for First Aid for the USMLE Step 2 CS. Travis plans on going into ophthalmology.

Originally from New Jersey, Jonathan moved to Philadelphia in 2011 to earn a master's degree at Drexel University. He stayed on to enter medical school and is now a fourth-year student. Jonathan is applying to residency programs in obstetrics and gynecology and hopes to be able to stay in the Philadelphia area.

Dmitriy is a fourth-year student at Harvard Medical School interested in dermatology and melanoma. He has worked on several projects with the First Aid/USMLE-Rx Team over the past 2 years. When not editing questions, Dmitriy enjoys cooking and playing chess.

Aaron is from Louisville and completed his medical school training at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He is currently in general surgery residency at the University of Michigan Health System.

Christopher completed a preliminary year in internal medicine at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center and Temple University before beginning a residency in dermatology at Florida State University. He plans to complete a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and practice in the Southeast.

Jane grew up in Kentucky and Missouri and completed her undergraduate as well as medical education at Brown University. She is currently living in Philadelphia and enjoys cooking, roadtripping, and tennis.

Yifan is part of the 6-year combined residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her interests are clinical research and medical education. When not busy with clinical care or operative outcomes research, Yifan likes to try new foods, travel, and hike.

Robert is a third-year student at the SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine. He is pursuing a career in neurosurgery, and is interested in working in an academic setting. In his spare time, Robert enjoys road and trail running, fencing, and cooking.
