Maniver is from New York and earned her medical degree in India. Her focus is medical education, and she has also helped manage the USMLE-Rx Step 3 QMax and Step 2 Flash Facts projects. She is a vegetarian who loves authentic NY pizza and trying new restaurants. In her spare time, Maniver enjoys reading, going to museums, gardening, and spending time with family, friends, and her rambunctious pitbull. 

Mona was born and raised in Cleveland, home of the 2016 NBA champions (go Cavs!). She graduated from Duke University with degrees in economics and French and earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She is currently a first-year resident in plastic surgery at the University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center. Mona has a passionate love for donuts and can spend hours talking about her favorite donut shops. In her spare time, she enjoys running marathons and triathlons, practicing her French and Arabic, yoga, calligraphy, and R programming. 

Jun earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2015. His areas of interest are internal medicine, cardiology, and endocrinology. 

Sheel graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Florida campus with the dual degrees of Doctor of Osteopathy and Masters of Health Service Administration in June 2016. She is currently enjoying a general surgery residency at Wayne State University in Detroit and hopes to subspecialize after completing residency. Sheel’s research interests are pediatrics and trauma. Her hobbies include art and painting, bike riding, and traveling. 

Suman is from Dallas, Texas, and graduated high school in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He is working on a combined BS/MD degree at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. He currently lives in Miami, where he will be completing his core clinical rotations. In his free time, Suman enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, reading, and photography. 

Jorge earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Currently a first-year internal medicine resident, he plans to pursue a career in dermatology. In his free time, Jorge likes working out, teaching, spending time with his cats, and writing. He particularly enjoys writing about the humanities and historical topics in medicine. 

Tegveer was born and grew up in Jalandhar City in the Punjab province of India. He recently graduated from Government Medical College Amritsar, India, and is currently doing research in pediatric sleep medicine at the University of Alberta while he pursues a residency in internal medicine. In his spare time, Tegveer enjoys listening to music, painting, travelling, and watching TV shows. 

Sarah is from a small town in Wisconsin. She earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Yale University and her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Sarah is currently a resident in the otolaryngology program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her hobbies include ice hockey, cycling, and cooking. 

Nitina was born and raised in Long Island, NY. She graduated from St. George's University School of Medicine in 2015 and is currently earning her Master's Degree in Business Administration. Once that's completed, she plans to pursue a career in child and adolescent psychiatry. Nitina enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. 

Vivian earned her PhD degree in microbiology at the University of Chicago and researched an enterotoxin produced by certain strains of <i>Bacteroides fragilis</i>. She recently earned her medical degree and is currently a resident at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. In her free time, Vivian enjoys meals with friends, cooking, and reading. 

Brian is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He earned bachelor of science degree from McGill University with honors in biochemistry, and is currently a medical student at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Brian has a passion for teaching, coaching and education, and in his spare time enjoys weightlifting, skiing, and ice hockey. 

Gina earned her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and is still there after graduating, enjoying the company of amazing classmates while still being able to be in Charlottesville for a few extra years. She is interested in genetics and pediatrics, but is keeping an open mind about specialties. 

Originally from Canada, Deepika traveled to the United Kingdom to embark on a 6-year medicine program. She completed the first three years of medical school at the University of St. Andrews, and the last three years at the University of Edinburgh. Deepika also earned a Masters of Science degree in internal medicine at the University of Edinburgh, and is currently working at the British Heart Foundation. Her interests in internal medicine include research, teaching, and publishing. 

Originally from Canada, Divya traveled to the United Kingdom to embark on a 6-year medicine program. She completed the first three years of medical school at University of St. Andrews, and the last three years at University of Edinburgh. Divya also earned a Masters of Science degree in internal medicine at the University of Edinburgh. She is completing fellowship training in cardiology at the University of Toronto. 

Gabriel grew up in southern California and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, studying biology with an emphasis in biochemistry. At the University of California, San Francisco, he earned his PhD degree, studying mechanisms of resistance to TKIs in chronic myeloid leukemia. He has since earned his medical degree from UCLA and is currently in anesthesiology residency training at Stanford University. Gabriel enjoys reading, hiking, and cooking. 

Samantha is from southern California. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science degree in neuroscience. She then went to Georgetown University to earn a masters degree in physiology. Samantha earned her medical degree from the William Beaumont School of Medicine in Michigan and is currently in her first year of internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Diego.  

David was born outside of Philadelphia but moved to Wisconsin at the age of 9. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After spending some time teaching MCAT prep courses, he earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin. He is currently a medicine resident in the University of Pennsylvania system.  A huge nerd, David enjoys biking, reading, fumbling with a guitar, and spending time with his wife and their cat (Mrs. Pantaloons).  He makes a mean PB&J. 

David earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and is currently a resident in obstetrics and gynecology in Baylor Scott & White Health—Central Texas. 

Matthew grew up in Farmington, Conn, and graduated from Tufts University with a degree in biology. He then completed research in neurodegenerative diseases at McLean Hospital, a Harvard affiliate, before earning his medical degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is continuing in the residency program at Touro. Matthew enjoys cooking, eating, brewing beer, hiking, and both playing and watching sports, particularly baseball and football. His proudest moment is winning a ghost chili challenge, which earned him a commemorative T-shirt and much-needed antacid. 

Atman is from the deep southern state of Louisiana, but is often told he has no southern drawl. He graduated from Tulane University with a major in biomedical engineering and a minor in digital studio art. He earned his medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine and is now a resident in medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. When not in the hospital or in clinic, Atman loves listening to audiobooks and podcasts, hitting the gym, and expanding his palate with his fiancée. 

Varun studied medicine at AJIMS/Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, where he gained experience in fast-paced nonprofit government healthcare settings. He is passionate about clinical medicine and enjoys facilitating education for future physicians by contributing to explicit and simplified medical literature. Varun is a contributing author to First Aid for the USMLE Step 2 CS, 6th edition, and to the USMLE-Rx Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3 Qmax testbanks. Currently Varun lives with his family in St. Louis pursuing a career in internal medicine. 

Aamer is from southern California and graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2009, where he majored in biological sciences. He earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. He is currently working at Heart and Vascular Institute in Detroit, where he cares for cardiovascular patients. He is also wrapping up his Masters in Public Health degree from Benedictine University. In his spare time, Aamer enjoys hiking, running, and exploring new cafés and restaurants in the Detroit area with his wife. 

Laurel graduated from Bowdoin College with a Bachelors of Arts degree in philosophy and a minor in mathematics. While she loved Maine, Laurel is glad to be back in the other Portland to attend OHSU. When not studying or catching up on sleep, Laurel enjoys cooking, gardening, camping trips, and playing soccer. 

Archana earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2017 and is now a first-year anesthesiology resident at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Archana plans to pursue a fellowship in pain management. 

Cindy earned her medical degree at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and is currently a resident in the department of medicine at University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. 

Talha is from the bay area of California and attended medical school at Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. He graduated from Dow University in 2015 and is looking forward to his career in practicing the art of medicine.  Outside of medicine, Talha enjoys motorsports and automobiles, reading everything from fantasy novels to medical journals, football, and boxing. 

Parsa earned his undergraduate degree in human biology from Cornell University and his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. He is currently a resident in the department of head and neck surgery at Yale School of Medicine. Parsa’s interests include nutrition, health care policy, Near Eastern studies, and human development. In his spare time, he enjoys basketball (go Mavs!), skiing, debate/public speaking, fitness, travel, nature, cooking, poetry, and spending time with friends and family. 

Vidhi graduated from the 6-year combined BS/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is a dermatology in Kansas City. 

Álvaro was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. He recently earned his medical degree from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo and is pursuing a career in internal medicine, particular in hematology/oncology and pulmonology. Álvaro is also very interested in the field of medical teaching. In his spare time, he loves going to the beach and has the goal of visiting as many different beaches as possible. He also likes watching movies and eating ice cream.  

Arielle is from Chapel Hill and graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2009, where she majored in comparative literature and minored in women’s and gender studies as well as chemistry. She is wrapping up her MD/MPH studies at UNC Chapel Hill and Yale School of Public Health. Her main interests are expanding surgical access internationally through program development and capacity building efforts. In her spare time, Arielle loves to read, cross-stitch, and spend time with friends and family. 

Yarlagadda is from southern India and graduated from medical school in 2013. She is currently working in an externship program at the Washington, DC, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she has developed a keen interest in addiction psychiatry. Yarlagadda hopes to match into a residency program in family medicine or psychiatry. In her spare time, she enjoys sculpting Bonsai trees, cooking Italian cuisine, spending time with loved ones, and exploring new places.
